The Special Session wraps up with more than a little political wrangling and debate, and we speak with eCapitol News Director Shawn Ashley about the final week at the capitol. Reporter Bob Sands meets the retired attorney who's keeping the lawmakers honest, and answers the question: who is Jerry Fent? Local legislators work up different plans for the same goal--putting storm shelters in Oklahoma's schools. But as we learn from StateImpact's Logan Layden, many school districts aren't waiting for the legislature to make their schools safer. Plus, a look at the state's nursing home ranking, advances in brain tumor treatment, and a trip to the movies...or at least in search of a set, on this episode of the ONR.

On the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's 'I Have A Dream' speech, we look at the impact of the celebrated speech, and how far some Oklahomans feel we still have to go to fully realize that dream. Then, a look at the state's historic black towns--founded before statehood and free of discrimination, these dwindling townships still have lessons to teach about equality. In health news, Oklahoma continues to improve in smoking, but a new study points out areas that could use improvement, and a look at the growing concern over drug resistant bacteria. Plus, congressional town halls, an update on the Cherokee Capitol, and a visit to the Oklahoma River, on this ONR.
