Budget cuts have impacted nearly all state agencies over the last three years. While state revenues are rebounding now, budget cuts may not be over for some state agencies, including OETA. If one state lawmaker has her way, state funding would come to an end for the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority.

After retiring in April of last year, Bill Moyers is planning a return to television. The renowned journalist, who has won more than thirty Emmy awards, will launch a new program, "Moyers and Company", in January. The program will be broadcast nationally, and will be seen on OETA Saturdays at 5 pm, beginning in January. Moyers was born in Hugo and grew up in nearby Marshall, Texas. He spoke at Oklahoma City University this week, and while he was here, Dick Pryor spoke with him about his new show.
