Oklahoma's 2013 Economic Outlook
By most accounts, Oklahoma had a strong year in 2012, economically, ranked in the top ten of all states for overall growth rate and increases in jobs. Gross state revenues went up, unemployment went down. And congress avoided a potentially devastating start to the year, after flirting with going off the so-called fiscal cliff. Joining us to discuss what to expect from Oklahoma's economy this year are Deidre Myers, Director of Research and Economic Analysis at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce; Jonathan Willner, Chair of the Economics and Finance Department and economics professor at the Oklahoma City University Meinders School of Business; and, Chad Wilkerson, Vice President, economist and branch executive with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Oklahoma City Branch.
