With a long holiday break just ahead, officials at several Oklahoma public schools are concerned about keeping children fed while schools are on Christmas break. Teachers and staff at Tulsa’s Bell Elementary hope the community there will support their efforts to ensure kids have enough food to eat throughout the Christmas holiday.

Beaver County voters in the Oklahoma Panhandle, will decide on December 14th if a one-cent sales tax for hospital operations should be extended. And in Wagoner, voters there will decide on a new tax proposal to pay for hospital and ambulance service.

House Speaker-designate, Kris Steele, said twelve fulltime and four part-time positions have been cut.
