OSU Sports Illustrated Report

The series was titled, "The Dirty Game," and it detailed accusations against the Oklahoma State University football program involving money, academics, sex, drugs and life after college football. Sports Illustrated reporters spent ten months working on the series, and spoke with more than sixty former players. Various aspects of the stories have been refuted, accusations rebutted, but OSU President Burns Hargis says his school will review the claims and take whatever measures are appropriate. It's a huge story with the potential to shake college football programs far beyond Stillwater. Today, we discuss the series with Berry Tramel, sports columnist for The Oklahoman and newsok.com, and commentator on the Sports Animal network; John Rohde, commentator for sports talk radio station, The Franchise; and, in Tulsa, Kelly Hines, sports reporter for the Tulsa World, who is covering the OSU beat this season.

Special Session Reporter's Roundup

In early June, the Oklahoma Supreme Court determined that the Comprehensive Lawsuit Reform Act of 2009 was unconstitutional for violating the state's single subject rule. That's the constitutional provision that requires each bill to pertain to a only one subject. The court's ruling caused Governor Fallin to call the legislature back into session to fix the problem. Here to talk about the special session, and more from the capitol, are state capitol reporters Patrick McGuigan of capitolbeat.ok; Michael Cross of KOSU Radio; and, Shawn Ashley, News Director of eCapitol.
