The Shangri La Resort on Grand Lake saw its heyday in the 1970’s and 80’s. Since then, the resort has faced severe financial problems, and nearly closed for good. Now, a multi-million dollar transformation is taking place in an effort to make Shangri La the destination spot it once was.

Thousands of Oklahoma kids can say they have "traveled around the world." The bi-annual "Kids World" is being held this week at Tulsa's Expo Square. The festival is designed to teach children tolerance and understanding about other people and cultures.
