Oklahoma music legend Patti Page passed away on New Year's Day at the age of 85. The "Singin' Rage" was known for her lilting rendition of the 'Tennessee Waltz," the first crossover music hit. Page was the top-selling female vocalist of the 50's, and would go on to have shows on every major network, and even win an Emmy. The Claremore native was slated to receive a lifetime achievement award from The Recording Academy before her demise. In 2010, ONR spoke with Patti Page about her music, stardom, and her Oklahoma roots.
