A small group of people held a protest on the south steps of the state Capitol, demanding a new law to force changes at the Medical Examiners office. The group charges the M.E.’s office regularly makes mistakes that allow murderers to remain free, and forces families of victims to launch their own investigations into what really happened to their loved ones.
