Oklahoma's Film & Music office uses tax incentives to attract film, television, video, and music industries to the state and to promote their growth. Supporters of the Oklahoma film industry believe spending more to bring in more movie productions is good business for the state.

A bill has been filed in Washington which, if approved, would pay 4000 Federal Aviation Administration workers for wages they lost while they were furloughed for nearly two weeks in a partial shutdown of the agency. Some of those workers are employed in Oklahoma, home to one of the FAA’s most important facilities.
