Governor Fallin has declared a statewide emergency as the state prepares for a major winter storm. Northeastern parts of the state may see two feet of snow. A congressional investigation discovers oil and gas companies have injected more than 32-million gallons of fluids into the ground, much of it diesel fuel, in the drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing. Most of the diesel fuel was injected in Texas, Oklahoma and three other states. Tonight’s Newsmaker Interview features OCU Political Science Professor, Mohamed Daadaoui, an expert on international relations and middle east politics Egyptian nationals living in Tulsa react to what is happening in their home country and talk about their hopes for the future.

HOUSE SPEAKER KRIS STEELE SAYS HE WILL FORM A SPECIAL COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE REPUBLICAN STATE REP. RANDY TERRILL. THERE WAS SOME GOOD NEWS THIS WEEK FROM A BUDGET REVIEW HEARING FOR THE STATE OFFICE OF JUVENILE AFFAIRS. WHILE THE STATE AGENCY IS ASKING FOR AN INCREASE IN FUNDING, LAWMAKERS WERE TOLD THAT JUVENILE CRIME IN OKLAHOMA IS GOING DOWN. THE CENSUS IS A REQUIREMENT OF THE NATION'S HOUSING AND URBAN DELVELOPMENT. EVERY TWO YEARS THE COUNT IS DONE TO TRY AND GET AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MANY HOMELESS PEOLE THERE ARE IN THE STATE. SEVERAL WILDFIRES IN THE LAST 24 HOURS HAVE PROMPTED A BURN BAN FOR TEN STATE COUNTIES. THE BIGGEST FIRE IN THE CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE BURNED MORE TWO THOUSAND ACRES.
