Larger than Life | Bombs Away (27:46)

Her larger than life work graces parks, libraries, hospitals, churches, zoos, businesses and private homes across the country. They grace the Vatican in Rome, and a church in Russia. Rosalind Cook is a noted sculptress with a flair for turning hard bronze into fluid movement and carefully molded faces into soft expressions of joy and peace. The Tulsa artist uses her gift to celebrate the best of the human spirit and whether you know it or not, if you live in Oklahoma, you’ve likely been touched by her work. Cook allowed Gallery cameras into her studio to show us how she creates her giant sculptures and to share her unique perspective on the human condition. You won't believe her Art!

Inspired by comic books, Oklahoma artist Dustin Oswald breathes a new philosophy into his original works. Making a full time go of it, Oswald’s company, Bombs Away Art is rooted in punk rock and a Do It Yourself attitude. The soil that nurtures those roots…a belief in the sacrament and respect of living beings and of humanity. In May, Gallery takes viewers into the heart of one man’s interpretation of violence against nature and self, his view on the fragility of life and his philosophy that we should all engage in every moment that is given to us.
