Pipeline Blog

Hello. My name is Holly. I'm part of a team of people who assemble the programming schedule for OETA.

We look at the PBS national schedule, local programs and programs from other stations and distributors. We take in all that information and combine it with Member ballot feedback and viewer suggestions, and at the end of the month, I put together a schedule for each of our four channels.

The following are some notes about upcoming programs, preemptions and other points of interest that viewers might not hear otherwise. I hope you'll find it useful!

New How-To Series

Written by Holly on Friday September 18, 2009

You may notice a couple of changes to our how-to programs this Saturday morning...

MarthaIn place of AMERICA SEWS WITH SUE HAUSMANN at 8:30am, which wrapped up its 28th season last week, we have MARTHA'S SEWING ROOM. It's the 30th season for MARTHA'S SEWING ROOM, and this season starts off with creating serger bias trim for a baby daygown. Martha will also hand embroider summer bells with chain stitch leaves on a baby bonnet and construct a tie-on crib organizer. Guests include Pam Mahshie and Beverley Sheldrick.

Todd_EnglishThen at 10am, we begin a new cooking series, FOOD TRIP WITH TODD ENGLISH. This is the second season of English's show. It replaces EVERYDAY BAKING in the Saturday morning schedule. But don't worry, EVERYDAY BAKING and EVERYDAY FOOD will return with new seasons next year. In FOOD TRIP WITH TODD ENGLISH, the master chef, author and restaurateur again brings his talent and taste for reinventing traditional cooking to public television. During his travels at home and abroad, Todd explores a different dish or culinary tradition, drawing inspiration for new recipes from each locale's native cuisine and ingredients.
