Forum

Oklahoma's weekly, statewide discussion program, Oklahoma Forum, provides civil, meaningful discussion of news and issues that impact citizens statewide.  Hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Dick Pryor and produced by Emmy Award-winner Mickie Smith, Oklahoma Forum is more than sound bites and spin.  It is purpose-driven television - seeking answers, providing insight – about life in Oklahoma and its people.

Each week on Oklahoma Forum we’ll deliver thought-provoking conversations about important issues, hear from noteworthy guests, and provide a forum for ideas that help Oklahomans become better informed, engaged and connected.  In addition to the weekly program, Oklahoma Forum will have an interactive website and blog to encourage the exchange of ideas from people across the state and around the globe.

“Our goal is shine a light on issues that really matter in people’s lives and introduce our viewers to newsmakers and other interesting guests who are connected to Oklahoma," said host Dick Pryor.  "We will look at our world from a uniquely Oklahoma perspective. We'll talk to interesting and noteworthy people. Discuss news and issues that impact our lives. And seek the truth. ”

Oklahoma Forum is your source for meaningful discussion that informs, engages and connects each Oklahoman, Sundays at 1:00 p.m. on OETA.

Click Here to see the additional times when Oklahoma Forum airs on OETA's digital OKLA channel.

PryorOklahoma Forum is hosted by OETA Deputy Director and Managing Editor Dick Pryor. From college football bowl games to the state legislature, the U.S. Olympic Festival to statewide elections, and inaugurations to the Oklahoma City bombing, Dick has reported on many of the biggest events in Oklahoma in the past quarter-century. Winner of a Heartland Emmy Award for his work on Oklahoma World War II Stories, Dick was inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame on April 3.

On Oklahoma Forum, he facilitates civil, thoughtful, discussion about meaningful events and issues affecting people throughout Oklahoma. In 2005, Oklahoma Forum, produced by Mickie Smith, was a finalist for a prestigious Katie Award, sponsored by the Press Club of Dallas.
