We had an overwhelming response to the contest this year, and we are honored to have received so many outstanding entries!

Details:
- Contest began January 1, 2008
- Deadline was March 31, 2008
- Children in kindergarten through third grade were invited to participate
- All participants receive a Certificate of Achievement signed by LeVar Burton
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each grade receive additional prizes
- First place winners will be entered into the national Contest
- Winning stories are posted on OETA’s Web site
- Winners are recognized during a special ceremony at the Oklahoma State Capitol with teachers, classmates, parents, legislators and other special guests
Remember, the deadline for submissions is March 31, 2008. All entries must be postmarked by March 31.
Last year, more than 350 Oklahoma children from across the state submitted stories. View the winning stories from 2007.
