Hey Kids – It’s time for OETA’s annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers & Illustrators Contest!
Children in kindergarten through third grade statewide are invited to put their creative caps on and write and illustrate original story books. This year, kids are encourgaed to get even more creative. Download the entry form and rules to find out the details.
The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on March 27, 2009.

Contest Details:
- Contest begins January 1, 2009
- Deadline is March 27, 2009 at 5 p.m.
- Children in kindergarten through third grade are invited to participate
- All participants receive a Certificate of Achievement signed by LeVar Burton
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each grade receive additional prizes
- First place winners will be entered into the national Contest
- Winning stories are posted on OETA’s Web site
- Winners are recognized during with a special celebration
All submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on March 27, 2009.
Tune-in for Reading Rainbow, weekdays at 12:30 p.m. on OETA.
