Pets in Pastel

Sherry Hicks is a 63 year old woman winding down an illustrious career as a horse trainer.   She and her husband bought a farm in Crescent where they spend low key days raising show chickens and a few head of cattle, but a new career may be blooming for this wannabe retiree.    She has a way with animals and pastels that has Oklahoma pet lovers clamoring for portraits.   Her clients claim Sherry can see into the soul of a dog or cat or horse or even a pet pig.  Whatever the animal, Sherry Hicks puts pastel to paper to memorialize it in startlingly lifelike prose.
