The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority announces the opening of the position titled WEB CONTENT EDITOR located in the Communications Department in Oklahoma City. Applications will be taken until position is filled. The most qualified candidate(s) will be contacted for an interview.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
The position is responsible for the development and maintenance of interactive web services for external and internal users, specifically the development and overall look and feel of the OETA website, microsites and other digital platform services including mobile, social media, and e-newsletters. Candidate is responsible for gathering, managing and publishing exclusive/station-specific online content (text, audio and video) from various internal producers and integrating external content and services including those from PBS and national producers. The position will work closely with the communications director to ensure content supports OETA’s online goals. Other responsibilities include ensuring all web pages and functions comply with appropriate policies, guidelines and standards, coordinating web functions, monitoring web activities, incorporating new technologies as needed and building new or enhancing existing web pages. Additional duties include maintaining the technical architecture of the Web site, maintaining relationships with vendors and other departments, reading and responding to web support e-mail, creating graphics for online promotion, writing, editing and proofreading copy and creating and maintaining databases. The web developer will provide excellent customer service to all levels of users and encourage timeliness and accuracy of web page information and resolution of problems, as well as work with network personnel on issues of hardware/software that affect the web site. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
